Trustees

All of these trustees were at one time professional mentors making a difference in the life of at least one refugee or migrant.

Mr. David Robinson – Chairperson, BA (Hons) In Politics, a qualified youth worker, David currently supports unaccompanied minors at “Looked – After Children” within the care of social services. His compassion for helping vulnerable people in society grew from his personal experience as he was at the risk of offending and vulnerable during his teenage. He has been a Trustee since 2008 and at present the Chair of Trustees. David has been interested in Pan-African Politics. David is from the United Kingdom.

Ms Naglaa Ahmed Sadik Mustafa – Secretary, MBA, a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, Naglaa holds a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting and currently engaged as an Administrator and Language Assessor. Previously, she was a Statistics lecturer as well a journalist and one time Coordinator for Fredrick Ebert Foundation in Sudan. She speaks Arabic and English fluently. Naglaa joined the Trustees board since 2004 and is currently its Secretary. Naglaa is from the Sudan.

Mr Joseph Nyakaira – Treasurer, FIH, MCIPD, MIFL, MSc, a Hospitality & Tourism Management lecturer; qualified teacher of English language to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL); a registered Food Hygiene/Safety trainer and a Human Resources Development specialist with several years experience both in the USA and UK. Joseph is currently a college principal. He has served as the Treasurer of the Charity since 2004. Joseph is from Uganda.

Mr Tamiru Tesema – Vice Chairperson, B.A. (Hons), a community support worker with many years experience in Germany and the UK. Tamiru speaks German, Russian, Amharic, Oromic and English fluently. He is presently the Vice – Chair of Trustees. Tamiru in interested in advice and guidance. Tamiru is from Ethiopia.

Ms Carol J Etienne – Vice Secretary, (RSA NVQ Bus. Admin, Diploma in Management Skills, and Cert. Social Science), worked as a recruitment consultant and market research interviewer for several years and currently manages her own catering firm. Carol speaks French, Creole and English fluently and is the Vice – Secretary of the Trustees. Carol is from the Caribbean.

Dr. Magdalene Ogbeifun - Vice Treasure, MBBS NHS experience of 4 years as a Health Care worker in the UK. She was also practising in Psychiatry. Dr Ogbeifun speaks Yoruba, Ishan and English fluently. She is interested in welfare & rehabilitation of people. Magdalene is from Nigeria.

Ms Maluko Mahamed – Public Relations, (NVQ Level II, Business Administration), a carer and interpreter with several years of work experience is the Public Relations Officer. Maluko speaks Arabic, Amharic and English fluently. Maluko is from Ethiopia.
